Senzu blogging from Macau, SAR!

Your Senzu Partner-in-Style is blogging all the way from Macau, SAR China this week, where we are just taking a little side trip after spending the better part of a week at an enormous Fashion Accessories trade show in Hong Kong. 


I love going to Hong Kong, to catch up with friends and also it is such a vibrant, fast-pace city! High fashion abounds on his unique, mountainous, work-hard & party-hard city-island.
 Brad and I stayed at The Upper House in Central Hong Kong, where, when sipping on a cocktail one evening at the Gray Café Lounge & Bar atop the hotel, we had to vacate our harbour-view table to none other than Mr. Hugh Grant and entourage! 


The Hong Kong trade show was a success for Senzu, as we laid foundations to work with a number of new manufacturers and designers on exclusive, beautiful new designs for us. I won't spoil the surprise just yet, but keep an eye on our Senzu website for gold, silver and rhodium plated designs that will wow!

Meanwhile we've also added a number of 4 new necklaces to the Senzu Spirit Collection, elegantly extra-long (105cm), with glass seed and glossy shimmering beads in red (great for the Festive Season!), black, gunmetal grey and creamy white tones, handmade by artisans in Thailand. Also, in the Stainless Steel Collection we've added some very handsome accessories for the fellows: a very cool, rubber watch-style bracelet in two tones, as well as a trio of cuff links. Great gifts for the holidays! 


This Senzu Style Insider will be heading back to Bangkok tomorrow, to work with a very special Thai designer on some unique designs that will soon also be coming to Senzu. 


Partner-in-Style Sumitra is keeping very busy with hosting Soirées, helping our new Stylists get started and we hereby welcome David Lecitra, our first male Stylist, to Team Senzu! Great news from Senzu this morning, as we have officially added the Senzu Spirit Collection of fashionable jewelry online. Check it out on our website, www.senzustyle.com!

Senzu has added a great variety of colours, lengths and materials to choose from, something to suit everyone's personal style and look. The jewelry looks fabulous over any autumn or winter outfit, casual, business or out on the town. Of course all our jewellery is nickel- and lead free and uses a lot of natural materials. In addition, the new Senzu Spirit collection is priced between $15 and $35, so it is very budget-friendly as well! 


A busy week ahead for Team Senzu; Sumitra will be showing off the entire Senzu Stainless Steel and Spirit Collections to peruse, try on and purchase at the Oakville Chamber of Commerce Small Business Week Trade Show this evening from 5pm to 8pm, held at the OE Banquet & Conference Centre on 2245 Speers Road in Oakville. Admission is free and there is food, beer and wine sampling to enjoy.  There will be local business leaders as well as 75 exhibitors in addition to Senzu's booth.

As Sumitra says: "It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas gift ideas!" 

Brad Mol and I will in the meanwhile be attending a number of industry trade shows in Bangkok, Thailand this week and Hong Kong next week, where we expect to meet a number of additional manufacturers we'll be working with on our designs and production of our high quality fashionable jewellery.

Sneak Preview of Upcoming Senzu Spirit Collection!

Good morning or afternoon or whatever timezone you are in, fellow Style Divas,


Your Style Diva reporting from Bangkok, Thailand, today, where I will be for the coming weeks before going to the Fashion Accessories Expo at the end of this month in Hong Kong. There, Brad Mol and I plan to meet with some of our manufacturers and also source additional manufacturers to work with on our designs and new Senzu jewellery collection pieces. 


Hopelessly jet-lagged, I am therefore writing this blog post at nearly 2am local time, which for me feels like a lovely afternoon hour of course! While writing this, I also wanted to share with all our blog followers that CNN International has been on here for the past 18 hours or so, following the rescue of the Chilean miners. Brad and I are glued to the TV, watching this amazing event unfold.

Sumitra, our Partner-in-Style, stayed in Oakville, Canada of course, to support our Stylists and be available for home shows (we call them Soirées), sales and this morning she attended the Oakville Chamber of Commerce's breakfast networking meeting, Good Morning Oakville. She wore our beautiful stainless steel jewellery set with freshwater pearls, black onyx beads and heart/CZ accents and got some orders for it just by wearing it! That's what is so awesome about the collection; the pieces draw attention from men and women alike and sell themselves.

Speaking of the Collection; we are expanding it again! In the next few days, keep an eye on the website, as we will be adding another 30 (!) pieces of fashionable and stylish jewellery that will look fabulous over any autumn or winter outfit, casual, business or out on the town. Welcome to Independent Stylist: Ms. June!

Good start of the week fellow Style Divas!

As a great start of the week, we'd like to welcome Ms. Natpira 'June' Tangtrakul to the team of Independent Senzu Stylists! 

Many Oakville residents with a love for Thai food may already know Ms. June from her family Thai restaurant Thai Senses, right here in Bronte, Oakville. Ms. June will have a selection of Senzu Stainless Steel Jewelry on display in her restaurant, so please come see her there, ask her about Senzu Jewelry and at the same time enjoy a fabulous Thai meal. 

My partner-in-style, Sumitra, who also hails from Thailand, especially recommends the 'Central Thailand' combination set, which consists of an Authentic Phad Thai, Chicken Satay and Fresh Mango Salad. Delish! Brad Mol, my husband, is a big fan of their Vegetarian Spring Rolls, while my personal favorite of any kind of Thai food is the traditional (spicy!) Chicken & Basil over Jasmine Rice, which Thai Senses also serves!

Senzu Soft Launch Cocktail Party a Success!

First of all a great big thanks to all who joined us in making the Senzu Soft Launch Cocktail Party a great success. We had a lovely evening, beautiful weather allowed guests to enjoy their Senzu Martinis both inside and outside on the patio, overlooking Lake Ontario, right here in Oakville. 

We had the entire Senzu Stainless Steel jewellery collection on display, currently 46 unique bijoux including earrings, pendants, necklaces, rings and bracelets. Our focus line of stainless steel jewellery accented with freshwater pearls scored high on the ‘Top 5’ raffle.

I take this moment to congratulate Mrs. K. Hodson on winning the raffle! But nobody left the party emptyhanded; there were gift bags for every person who joined us in the festivities, as a small token of our gratitude for the warm welcome Senzu received.

In addition to the beautiful Collection, the evening was catered by Bizou Creative Catering out of Toronto, which happens to be owned and run by my sister! There were large shrimp skewers with mango salsa, turkey sliders with waldorf-style topping, spanakopita and many more delectable Hors D’Ouevres. I can wholeheartedly recommend her catering services!  

The amazing flower arrangements vied for attention with the sparkling jewelry that was displayed around them. We contracted Darren and Andrew from Burlington Blooms and they created artful pieces that really complimented Senzu and our stainless steel jewelry collection perfectly.

For those who attended and received the $30 gift certificate, please contact me and let me know which are the pieces you’d like to redeem your gift certificate for. About half of our Collection is priced under $30, so even if you weren’t able to attend and receive a gift certificate, there are beautiful pieces in our Collection for every budget! 

The Soft Launch Cocktail Party coincided with the going ‘live’ of our websites, www.senzustyle.ca and www.senzustyle.com, so please browse our collection and give me your feedback what you think of the pieces. We created the Senzu Stainless Steel Jewellery Collection with you in mind, and only with your honest feedback can we make it as perfectly fitting to you as possible!
